Mechanical Clamshell Grab

NG developed a wide range of mechanical clamshell buckets for bulk handling. Clamshell Buckets can be used for most bulk materials. Every NG mechanical line operated clamshell bucket is optimized for its specific application and bulk material. Single Line Clamshell Buckets are especially designed for cranes with only one holding line. SINGLE LINE CLAMSHELL BUCKET A special clamshell bucket in the extensive range of NG Shell are the single rope cable operated clamshell buckets, especially designed for cranes not configured with separate holding and closing lines. Besides the remote controle version NG also offers the touch-and-go single cable clamshell bucket. Line Clamshell Buckets are especially designed for cranes with only one holding line. THREE OPENING SYSTEMS FOR CLAMSHELL BUCKET Most of our single line clamshell buckets are provided with a mechanical hook system to secure the closing of the clamshell bucket. To open the clamshell bucket, this mechanism must be uncoupled. Besides the completely mechanical bucket with a touch-and-go opening system, there is a manual opening system (by pulling a tagline) and a remote control opening system.
