Description

NYLOK® BLUE® PELLET self-locking elements are permanently embedded in the threads of a fastener. When mating threads are engaged, the tough, resilient Blue® nylon element is compressed and a counter-force is created to establish a much stronger contact and positive resistance to vibration and loosening. A NYLOK BLUE PELLET self-locking element can be applied to your own fasteners, or ready-to-install self-locking fasteners. It can be supplied to meet your specifications. Screws as small as #00-90 (M1.2) can be processed and these nylon self-locking elements can be applied with equal effectiveness to larger diameter fasteners. Advantages * Exceptional vibration resistance * Eliminates the need for lockwashers * Reusable * Non-toxic, assembler friendly * Available for internal threaded fasteners * Adjustable * Promotes ease of assembly * Diverse levels of torque * Applicable to various materials * Compatible with mating parts * Resistant to lubricants, fuel, hydraulic fluids and most commercial sovents * Durable * Cost effective * Nylon (Standard) -70°F to 250°F (-56°C to 121°C) * Kel-F (High Temp) -320°F to 350°F (-195°C to 177°C) * Teflon (High Temp) -90°F to 550°F (-68°C to 288°C) * Vespel (High Temp) -320°F to 700°F (-195°C to 371°C)
