Classic break and reduction rolls or rolls with titanium coating for a perfect milling. External coating White cast iron: excellent wear and abrasion resistance. Interior coating Grey cast iron: excellent mechanical characteristics able to resist the flectional and torsional stresses. Dowelling: the coupling between the rolland the shaft is carried out with nitrogencryogenic bath technology. The system ensures a perfect coupling and a better distribution of residual stresses than the mechanical press shrinking. Grinding and fluting are carried outby the numerical control fluting machine. Grinding operation, performed onthe rolls and shafts, guarantees the perfect concentricity as well as optimum performance. Dynamic Balancing according to ISO 1940. The balancing supports working with high speed rotation without causing vibrations. Fluted rolls are made of bimetallic cast ironwith hardness between 510 and 580 HB. They are subjected to specific surface treatments in order to guarantee great technological performace and excellent wear resistance.
