The MTF MASTER IIT was specially designed to classify the imaging quality of image intensifier tubes by the objective criteria of the MTF (Modulation Transfer Function).
The MTF MASTER IIT was specially designed to classify the quality of image intensifier tubes by the objective criteria of the MTF (Modulation Transfer Function).
An object (hair cross) is projected with defined resolution and light intensity on the photocathode of the IIT. The image of this object on the IIT screen is evaluated by the help of a high resolution image processing system and an according software.
The MTF MASTER IIT performs automatic, software controlled measurement of MTF on different positions on the IIT screen, using 6 motorized axes. All 6 motorized axes have a resolution of 1µm. In the adjustment mode, they are controlled by joystick. In the measuring mode, they are moved automatic and software controlled.
The MTF-MASTER IIT consists of 4 main components:
• Illumination unit with continuously adjustable and software controlled light intensity
• object generator with reticle and high resolution projection optics
• IIT-Mounting unit (3 motorized software controlled axes) with adjustable DC power supply (low and high voltage)
• Analysing unit (measuring microscope with LWD objective, 3 motorized software controlled axes)
MTF-Accuracy: ±0.04
MTF repeatability: ±0.02
Measuring direction: Horizontal / vertical
Measuring principle: Image evaluation of an edge or a line tangential /sagittal
Frequency Range: 0…..200 lp/mm
