OMAV hot log shear has an horizontal hydraulic shearing. In the last years OMAV has improved the hot log shear adding as a state of art the parking of the billet. This means to optimize the cycle and reduce consistently the scrap. On the other, the knives are made with two rings that can open when the log comes inside the shear and in this case we can reduce the gap between the log and the knives, so is possible to reduce the deformation. We have a shearing with a double knives permit to reduce the deformation. With the hot log shear we don’t have any problem to interfere with the press, so any type of press can be used, specially also the front loading press.
