Multi-device control unit for MPD 800 The MCU2 multi-device control unit is designed for connecting one or more MPD 800 partial discharge (PD) measurement devices to a PC. It converts optical signals, which are generated by the PD measurement device and transmitted to the MCU2 control unit via fiber optic cables, into the standard USB electrical communication signal. The MCU2 control unit is connected to the PC using the supplied USB cable. Two versions of the MCU2 are available – either with a single FO connection or with three fiber optic connections. Fiber optic cables are supplied separately by OMICRON. Connection of one or more MPD 800 measurement devices to a PC and conversion of optical signals to standard USB signal.
