OMIS has been building excellent mobile gantry cranes, both single- and double-girder, since its foundation.
Our cranes are built with the classic system of the hinged portal, next to the flanged one, an optimal solution to avoid misalignments and excessive wear of the sliding mechanisms.
This construction system, combined with the use of production lines specifically designed to build cranes of this type, makes it possible to create gantry cranes with extremely smooth movements, resulting in a significant reduction in maintenance interventions.
Gantry cranes run on rails on the ground, eliminating the need for a runway. Gantry/portable gantry cranes are most commonly used outdoors, in warehouses, storage parks and loading areas, allowing for shorter manoeuvring times than conventional systems. These systems operate similarly to bridge cranes, but their structure does not rest on the surface of the building; instead, it is supported on steel legs equipped with power-driven trolleys. They are designed to meet the needs of industries that require transport systems for heavy or large loads
They can also be used in production lines, helping to maintain the fluidity of the assembly process, and can be installed outdoors without the need for a support structure or inside unsuitable buildings. They are the ideal solution when building large infrastructures and civil works, as well as on prefabrication sites (concrete/wood etc.). They offer flexibility as they can be customised to meet specific needs, such as optimising the area served by the crane or integrating dedicated weighing systems.
