Description

The OPTOCON Silicon protective wrap basically help in protecting the fiber optic sensor in industrial applications. The key features of these units include high flexibility, high tensile strength, crush resistance, rotationally fixed, light and liquid tight etc. They can accommodate a temperature range of -60°C to +180°C for steam sterilization at 134°C. They measure 3.4 mm in inside diameter and 5.6 mm on outside diameter. They are usually available in gray color option and with a bending radius (rmin) of 20mm. The outer housing made of stainless steel and silicone. These units are specially coated stainless steel with silicone protective sleeve to ensure reliable industrial performance. They offer high flexibility, tensile strength and transverse compressive strength. It offers light and liquid tight behavior and thereby ensures zero distorted by external influences. Additionally, the protective sleeve is composed of a flat wire coil with glass fiber braid and an outer silicone jacket. The robust structure and make ensure stable performance even at high temeperature range of between -60°C to +180°C.
