PMU485 Smart Setup Hub 12 VDC Power source RS-485 Data connection Can support up to 10 Smart radiometers Works with DustIQ PMU485 Smart Setup Hub The PMU485 is a power source and data connection between a smart Kipp & Zonen device and a PC. No separate AC to DC power adapter is required, the PMU485 contains a small rechargeable Lithium-ion battery and a DC-DC converter to provide 12 V to the device. The built-in 2-wire RS-485 to USB 2.0 converter controls the data connection and a 1.5 m USB cable is supplied. All Kipp & Zonen Smart radiometers are supported; SMP, SHP, SGR, SUV, PR1, PH1, RT1 and also the DustIQ Soiling Monitoring System. There is no power switch on the PMU485, connecting it to an active USB port starts the converter. Together with our SmartExplorer software it can be used to test the device, configure communication settings and log data. PMU485 is intended to be used as an installation or service tool to set up and test a device and its communication parameters. It can power and communicate with up to 10 radiometers connected in parallel, and SmartExplorer can display and log data from all of them. However, it can only power one DustIQ.
