Coaxial Wiring
Oxford Instruments offer a large variety of coaxial wiring for RF signals.
All our systems can accept coaxial wiring with either thermal clamps, provided for all line-of-sight ports, or embedded into the plates on a secondary insert. Both options have excellent thermalisation of the signal lines.
Coaxial wiring can either be fitted in the factory with the system, or can be purchased separately, or as an upgrade to your current system. Where you are purchasing as an upgrade to a previous system, a sales order number for that system is required.
Our semi-rigid coaxial lines are available with SMA connectors (up to 18 GHz) and SK (2.92 mm) connectors (up to 40 GHz).
There are a range of material options available (inner/outer conductors): Stainless steel SS/SS, Cupronickel CuNi/CuNi, Beryllium copper BeCu/BeCu, Niobium titanium NbTi/NbTi (for the superconducting lines below 4 K). Other conductor materials are available on request.
The semi-rigid coax is available in UT085 (2.19 mm) or UT034 (0.86 mm).
Our cryogenic attenuators are available in 0, 6, 8, 10, 20, 25 and 30 dB values.
NEW! Our latest coaxial configuration uses cryogenic adaptenuators, reducing the amount of connections in the signal line. By using a cryogenic adaptenuator, there is one less connection, reducing the losses of your signal. The attenuator body is thermalised directly to the line-of-sight port plate or the SI plate.
Our semi-rigid coax is available in sticks ready to be inserted into line-of-sight (LOS) ports, fitted directly onto customised secondary inserts or available to purchase as single lines, connectors and attenuators.
