Each sensor head contains a single gas or particle sensor. Swapping sensor heads takes seconds, can be done in the field, and no configuration or re-calibration is required. Active sampling is a key design feature. Each sensor head contains a fan that works continuously or periodically (depending on the sensor type) to draw sample air to the sensor. Once sampled the air is exhausted from the opposite side of the sensor head.The monitor base itself is a flexible electronic platform designed to fit comfortably in the hand. The monitor base comes in different models with different features.
