Description
Several material handling application require accumulation (non-synchronous) of products and the switching or routing of products between tracks which can be carried out through traditional power and free conveyor systems but at high expenses. The manual gravity rail and trolley system designed from PACLINE combines with a powered PAC-LINE™ (Model C-250) overhead chain conveyor to produce a semi-automated system.
The semi-automatic system provides an ideal choice in applications which involves some manual assistance by operators and provides a cost effective solution over fully automatic system. To accumulate items on carriers, gravity may be used such that some bumping of carriers is not a major issue. In cases where the operators push items through switch, pneumatic or manual assist switches can also be used.
