The CW1 connector can be used for wired connections of e.g. the LED module in automotive head lamps. The low height of only 3.4mm exerts a minimal effect on the lighting angle of the LED, enabling very small and low-profile LED lamp modules. Thanks to the unique SMD terminal structure, CW1 has a high vibration resistance as well as high heat resistance up to 125°C. A special prevention guard eliminates any possibility of lock failure, offering improved workability.
Applications like daytime running lights (DRL), rear lamps, shift lever or battery management systems (BMS) are often realized with a board-to-FPC connection. CF1 does the job in an advanced way because it consists of a plug on the FPC side and a receptacle on the board side (PCB). This design allows a stable soldered contact between FPC and connector and a reliable metal-to-metal terminal connection. The direct metal terminal concept offers an advantage for connections between the BMS and battery packs for EV or hybrid cars.
CF1 requires no wire harness to connect to FPC and PCB, allowing the use of fewer components and fewer man hours for mounting, both of which save costs and ensures reliable production. The connector's double-clip structure (metal clip contact structure) ensures high resistance to shock and vibration at temperatures up to 125°C. The connector's lock structure prevents incomplete mating, thereby offering improved workability.
