Panasonic Robot & Welding presents the new TAWERS Super Active Wire Process
TAWERS Super Active Wire Process (S-AWP)
By using oscillating wire feed in combination with a continuously monitored modified welding characteristic to control material transfer throughout the short arc cycle, it is now possible to minimize spatter and material distortion. This leads to perfect weld results, especially with thin materials. This benefits are achieved by reduced heat input and a higher material transfer. The number of short circuits for material transfer during welding has been significantly increased. This greatly reduces both the size of the material transfer droplets and the spatter. In addition, the fluid volume agitation caused by vibrations in the weld pool during material transfer are almost completely eliminated.
The Super Active System is based on a highly dynamic wire drive. A conscious focus was placed on high performance and precise power transmission to ensure perfect wire feeding. The newly designed drive unit thus achieves above-average oscillation frequencies.
The advantages can be transferred to a wide variety of materials and applications. Whether steel application, joining high-alloyed steels or aluminum, a perfectly adapted welding process is available for every application.
