The SciLog® SciCon combines temperature and conductivity sensing capabilities in a compact, single-use package. Each sensor is pre-programmed with a unique ID for easy traceability and data documentation when combined with the SciLog® SciDoc software. Factory calibration data is also stored on each sensor’s chip for out-of-box plug and play use.
Features & Benefits
• Each sensor is pre-calibrated and has a unique sensor ID making it NIST traceable and suitable for single-use GMP applications
• Validated for exposure to gamma irradiation, autoclave and sodium hydroxide sterilization
• Available in 5 different sizes for full scaleability throughout process development
SciCon conductivity sensors can increase the efficiency of downstream purification operations such as diafiltration and chromatography through accurate measurement of conductivity parameters. Measuring conductivity allows operators to monitor the progress of diafiltrations indicating when a target process stream conductivity has been met. Similarly, the conductivity of the solution also gives an indication of the progress of ion exchange or hydrophobic interaction chromatography steps.
In addition conductivity measurement provides a quantified review of filters being equilibrated prior to performing filtration, ensuring the readiness of the filter media as well as minimizing the quantity of buffer required during the flushing and equilibration process.
