Parker Chomerics CHO-SHIELD® 579 EMI coating is a two-component, silver-filled conductive epoxy that adheres well to chemical resistant plastic sand provides the added benefit of low volatile organic compounds (VOCs)
Parker Chomerics CHO-SHIELD® 579 EMI coating is a two-component, Ag filled conductive epoxy that adheres well to chemical resistant plastic and provides the added benefit of low volatile organic compounds (VOCs). CHO-SHIELD® 579 is a silver-colored epoxy that provides an excellent moisture barrier as well as physical and chemical abrasion resistance. It is an ideal solution for mating silver-filled conductive elastomers to aluminum surfaces, significantly minimizing galvanic corrosion within the flange. It is also able to withstand extreme temperature fluctuations, high humidity, and salt fog corrosion environments while maintaining conductivity and adhesion.
Features and Benefits:
• Pre-measured kit allows for easy mixing of components
• High EMI shielding properties (>90 dB) due to pure silver flake filler
• Low volatile organic compounds (376g/L)
• Maintains electrical and mechanical stability in harsh environments due to epoxy polymer
• Meets Military Spec MIL-C-22750
• No primer required
Typical Applications:
• Missile Cannisters
• Radar Systems
• Aluminum Flanges and Structures
