The Type X valve is a small capacity valve designed primarily for use on residential and small commercial air conditioning systems. The X can also be used in packaged heat pump units where one bi-flow metering device is used to expand refrigerant to either indoor or outdoor coil. The R/ER Series valves are functional replacements.
