Description

The Type HX Thermostatic Expansion Valve is designed for use on residential air conditioning and heat pump systems. With five available capacities, it provides superb superheat control in systems ranging from 1-1/2 to 8 tons. The balanced port enables superior control when the system experiences widely varying ambient conditions. The valve is also available with an integral check valve to bypass refrigerant flow around the expansion device in reverse flow operation. The Sporlan HX is a direct replacement for the Parker H Valve and is widely used by air-conditioning OEM’s. The thermostatic element and internal parts are not replaceable. The Type HX valve is available in many variations and is sold to OEMs who order in large quantities. The ER or RC (with check valve) series valves serve as functional replacements. Markets: • Heat Pump Features and Benefits: • Balanced Port • Small Machined Brass Body • Integral Laser Welded Stainless Steel Element • Various Style Connections including Chatleff, Aeroquip, and ODF • Available Internal Check Valve • Bi-Flow Control • Available in adjustable and non-adjustable versions • Bleed Port Available in 5%, 10%, 15%, 20%, and 30% Applications: • Residential Air Conditioning & Heat Pump • Light Commercial Air Conditioning & Heat Pump
