The 4520 series is a range of benchtop reactors that can be furnished with a self-sealing, O-ring closure for the operating temperatures up to 225 °C. It can also be furnished with a flat PTFE gasket for higher temperatures to 350 °C. The extra high pressure flat gasket is provided for the working pressure of 2900 psi at 350 °C temperature. The fixed head and movable vessel layouts are available. The optional pneumatic lift is also provided for the heavier 2 liter cylinder and heater. A floor stand is recommended for the 2 L fixed head model because the model is tall and may not be convenient to operate on the standard height bench top. With their larger diameter, these mid-size reactors have sufficient space for special modifications, such as: an internal cooling coil, bottom drain valve (not on 2 liter bench top), ball valve for a solids charging port, catalyst addition devices, condensers, electrical feed-throughs and more.
