The SIGMA4 is an “intelligent” load cell cable junction box. During a test the system, the junction box and the indicator measures the load cell output per sensor and determines if this is correct. A faulty load cell can be switched off. This way the measuring system can operate with fewer sensors for the time being. The advantage is that during testing the faulty load cell is immediately recognized as well as its deviation. Furthermore this module supports TEDS (Transducer Electronic Data Sheet), which means that sensor specific information is available and can be compared, this facilitates automatic re-justification. As an extra, the instrument optionally stores all calibration data in the PC program Pi. The SIGMA4 junction box can only be coupled with a PENKO1020.
