Support type voltage transformers GC2 are used in MV outdoor switchgears within the range of 3.6-36 kV. They transform high voltage into standardized values for electric meters, measuring and protection devices. The support type voltage transformer is designed for the mounting in outdoor medium-voltage cells. The magnetic properties of the iron core are ensured by specific padding and potting in epoxy resin. With this construction the class accuracy remains constant over decades. Compliance with the partial discharge limits according to IEC 61869-1 guarantees safe operation. Primary and secondary connections are brass as standard. The protective cover of the secondary terminas is made of aluminium and fullfills IP65 requirements. The mounting position is freely selectable. The voltage transformers are designed according to the common national and international standards. Specific requirements defined by the customer are possible on request.
