Description

Phenix Technologies’ Low Voltage Test Systems (LVTS) are used to simulate operating current in a cable by inducing current in a test loop or circle. Perform type testing of a cable sample in accordance with applicable international standards (IEC, IEEE, IPCEA, AEIC, VDE, EDF) Perform inductive heating of cable samples and accessories Heated cable can be simultaneously stressed with DC or AC high voltage as well as impulse voltage with the inclusion of necessary options or by utilizing additional equipment The actual rating and design appropriate for a particular application depends on a number of factors: Conductor type and cross-section Insulation type and thickness Length of cable to be tested Ambient and test temperatures Time allowed to reach test temperature Phenix Technologies offers: Indoor/Outdoor units Automated Controls SCR (Electronic Regulator) or Variable Autotransformer controlled systems Temperature Regulating Controls Expanded testing capability for multiple units Capacitive compensation to lower input power and regulator size Standard models up to 6000 Amps
