Description

ECOPICK is a robot based on artificial intelligence (AI) that recognizes and classifies a wide variety of objects on a conveyor belt, replacing the tasks usually performed by a manual picker. Its classification tasks consist in the realization of quality control of materials or the automated extraction of valuable materials contained in the flow of "rejects" driven to the cabin through a conveyor belt. Benefits ECOPICK key benefits in the industry: - Reduction of the dependence on manual pickers: · Stability of production (24/7). · Performance improvements. - Short period of investment amortization. - Real-time access to statistics on classified material. - Faster line adjustments through vision and data analysis. - Easy maintenance and low cost spare parts. - On-line customer support service. - System adaptable to existing installations. Components The four main components of the PICVISA’s robot are: VISION MODULE Composed of a high-resolution RGB linear camera, which integrates artificial intelligence algorithms (deep learning) by means of which it recognizes the objects to be separated. Also, optionally, it can use near infrared vision (NIR) ROBOT Robotic arm type "Delta" (also known as "Spider" type) with three degrees of freedom of movement (length, width and height) attached at the top, contained in a closed envelope, and installed in sequence with the scanner of artificial vision. The robot module also includes the automaton and a user-machine interface screen. The collection of objects is carried out in a pneumatic manner (air aspiration by a suction cup), which are released in one or more peripheral hoppers.
