Pisces Fish Machinery has been produced roller graders in use though out the world. Pisces usually suppliers the machines with stands, catwalk, infeed hopper and out feed conveyors. The machines range in size from 7 to 13 rollers. The roller graders are equipped with a shaking infeed tray to ensure consistent flow of fish to the grader.
The fish are sorted into four separate grades by passing the fish between parallel rollers that gradually open the gap between them as the fish pass down the length of the roller. A fifth oversize grade at the end of the grader.
The Pisces HG series of roller graders separates fish based on the width. The fish travel between sets of two rotating rollers which spread further apart as the fish travels down the length of the rollers. The rollers spin in such a way as to gently drive the fish downward though the rollers. Water Is sprayed on the rollers to ensure gentle handling of the fish. Once the fish fall through the rollers they are separated Into 4 grades that are delivered to the side of the machine with a fifth oversize grade over the end of the machine. The starting and finishing widths of the rollers are both adjustable. The single point adjustment utilizes a scale indicator to provide an accurate reference for the position of rollers. Fish are spread out evenly between the rollers by a vibrating infeed table which ensures no fish are
stacked on top of one another. This avoids miss grades by small fish ‘‘piggy backing” on top of larger ones. The angle of descent and hence the speed of the fish down the rollers Is also adjustable by hydraulic cylinders.
