Expansion of the NS series continues with two new operating modes compatible with EUROMAP 78 and 78.1 guidelines.
These two new versions, D6 and D7, are especially suitable for the plastics and rubber machinery industrial world and designed to standardise the interface between a machine placed inside a safety enclosure and the safety device installed on the interlocked guard.
EUROMAP 78 and 78.1 recommendations require the safe signal applied to the interface between safety device and machine to be a signal with two channels which are active when the safety device is closed and locked, and that there is a manual confirmation from the operator (e.g. via a reset button).
Designed according to EUROMAP 78 recommendations, the D6 version includes an additional reset input signal after closure and locking of the guard. The safe outputs OS1 and OS2 of the NS D6 device will therefore be active when the actuator is inserted and locked and manual reset has occurred.
In the case of hidden areas inside enclosures, the EUROMAP 78.1 recommendation states the need to adopt a reset sequence with double confirmation: a reset button is located inside the danger area and is pressed first to confirm that the absence of persons within the area has been verified. A second reset button located outside completes the sequence. The sequence must be completed within a time limit set according to the application.
