Uninterruptible power supply system is provided for consumers supply with uninterruptible DC and AC.
Uninterruptible power supply system consists of:
charging and rectifying unit;
accumulator battery (AB) with protection and switching unit (UPS switchboard);
voltage source inverter (voltage source inverter cabinet) with sinus filter;
backup (bypass) supply channel;
matching transformers.
Accumulator battery voltage is also selected according to Customer’s request and DC consumers availability.
DC switchgear can be combined with charging and rectifying unit in one cabinet. AC switchgear can be combined with voltage source inverter in one cabinet. Power can be supplied from one or two inputs.
In case of one input, if voltage at the input is available, power is transferred either via double conversion channel or via bypass channel from input to output. When input voltage is disconnected, load continues to be supplied from accumulator battery and voltage source inverter. As a rule, accumulator battery capacity is selected at the rate of two-hour load power supply.
In case of two inputs, consumers are supplied from input with voltage. Only in case of no voltage on both inputs, load is supplied from accumulator battery and voltage source inverter.
