Perfectly matched design details in terms of seat, insert and insert material properties ensures a maximum of process safety, excellent durability, and superior cutting speeds in any application. Our engineers provided all available indexable inserts with an asymmetric contact surface and a readily identifiable marker to facilitate proper installation. This is made even more straightforward by the prismatic bore designed to keep the mounting screw perfectly centred. Also, note the unique coolant supply that takes place via a channel in the insert and discharges into a fan port in order to speed up the cooling medium. The small corner radius of the smoothing inserts minimises the cutting pressure and displacement. What’s more, it opens up machining options right down to the tiniest of corners.
