As filtered contaminants restrict the liquid flow, the liquid level rises and actuates a float switch which starts the conveyor. Unlike so-called “deep bed filters” which utilize a submerged edge seal to prevent contaminated coolant from leaking directly into the filtered coolant tank, the filter paper contains the entire pool of liquid and filter paper is transported beneath the liquid. You get reliable filtration without seal maintenance.
