Description

The BT side channel centrifugal pumps are ideal for drinking water and industrial purposes as well as for sea water, petrol and light oils, food and pharmaceutical products, condensate and liquid with vapors, for conveying acid and alkaline liquids, and for automatic systems with a hydrophore tank. The self-priming BT pumps have star-shaped impellers which are hydraulically balanced in order to ensure a low axial thrust on the bearings. These external-type bearings are life grease lubricated. The multistage pumps provide a suction lift up to 8 meters, because of the very low NPSHr. The working principle of the pumps makes them ideal for transferring liquid gas and vapor mixtures. The basic design pumps are mechanically sealed. Double mechanical seals may be fitted for handling hot liquids which might solidify or be aggressive, corrosive and toxic media. The seals in such situations need to be flushed from outside with a fluid compatible with the medium but at a somewhat higher pressure.
