The newest member of the Scorpion family seamlessly complements the entire PONSSE harvester range. Developed according to the requests from our customers, PONSSE Scorpion Giant conveniently fulfils the gap between Scorpion King and Bear in the PONSSE harvester line-up comparison. CRANE The PONSSE C50 crane has unique geometry and and a two arm lift boom that moves over the cabin offering excellent visibility and balance. The C50 crane also offers unbeatable movement geometry that can maneuver up to 11 m. HARVESTER HEADS PONSSE harvester heads are known for their high efficiency/weight ratios and robust structure, which are second to none. A broad harvester head range is available for Scorpion Giant: H6, H7, H7 HD Euca, H8. ENGINE AND HYDRAULICS The engine and strong hydraulics produce more than enough power, both in harvesting and transmission. Scorpion Giant has a powerful two-circuit hydraulic system, particularly good in regeneration felling. The power, torque and fuel economy of the Mercedes-Benz are better than ever. The advanced transmission offers excellent handling and machine control – especially in demanding conditions and uneven terrain. IT IS ALL ABOUT THE OPERATOR The design of PONSSE Scorpion Giant focuses on the operator – the operator is literally the centre point of the machine. The cabin is located in the middle of the machine, making it easier to see its extremities when working at dense thinning sites. What is more, the operator is situated in the middle of the cabin’s turning radius: when the cabin turns, the operator does not feel like being on a carousel. This has a significant impact on comfort and wellbeing at work.
