Using our GUIDED WAVE™ APHA/Platinum-Cobalt Color Analyzer System to automate this measurement within a process eliminates the visual judgment of a technician and delivers online real-time process control information to the process operators.
Our GUIDED WAVE APHA/Platinum-Cobalt Color Analyzer System measures the color of liquids using a spectrophotometric method. The system consists of a light source, a sample cell, and a detector. The light source emits light of a specific wavelength range into the sample cell, which contains the liquid to be analyzed. The light passes through the liquid and is absorbed by the molecules in the liquid. The detector measures the amount of light that is transmitted through the liquid and converts it into an electrical signal. The signal is then processed by the system’s software to determine the color of the liquid based on the APHA/Platinum-Cobalt scale. The system is highly accurate and can be used for a variety of applications, including water treatment, food and beverage production, and pharmaceutical manufacturing.
The GUIDED WAVE APHA/Platinum-Cobalt Color Analyzer System utilizes our multi-wavelength ClearView db filter photometer analyzer platform with two (2) independent sample monitoring points. The ClearView db analyzer is configured with application-appropriate wavelengths to measure the APHA/Platinum-Cobalt color of the sample. The analyzer employs a dual-beam design. This means the system has a continual internal optical reference check that allows it to self-compensate for signal variation due to non-sample conditions.
