The screw classifier is used to separate unwanted materials such as soil and clay that come with materials obtained from quarries and mines. It ensures that the sand that comes with the water from the vibrating screens with the washing system is kept as a product. According to their capacities, screw classifiers are manufactured as double or single shaft.
Superior Handling Technique
The washed material sinks to the bottom in the fully water-filled pool compartment located at the back of the body, due to its density.
The spiral leaves on the shaft drag this material, which has fallen to the bottom, towards the outlet chute. After the continuously rotating material exceeds the level of the pool, it is discharged from the outlet chute.
Water and mud go out from the overflow channels in the pool area. If possible, this outgoing water is rested in the holding pool, allowing the clay, soil and organics inside to settle to the bottom and the water is used again.
Drive Mechanism
Screw Classifiers are driven by a gearmotor and chain gear mechanism. The reason for choosing the chain mechanism is that the chain is the first element that will meet the sudden loads that may come to the reducer and to overcome the risky situations with low costs. In this way, it will continue to show the highest performance even under the most severe conditions.
High Strength
Helical leaves are made of high quality sheet metal. All these leaves are specially manufactured in diameter and length suitable for the capacity. These leaves are carefully wrapped on the shaft with no gaps and joined by welded manufacturing.
