Designed for high reliability
Flygt low-speed mixers are equipped with unique rotor design, which minimizes the generated thrust while reducing energy consumption.
The mixers use squirrel cage induction motor; the stator windings in the motor are resin-impregnated and rated at 180°C (355°F) insulation, making them extremely resistant to overheating and ensuring a long service life.
An important element is Shaft seals – Flygt specially manufactured seals made of corrosion-resistant tungsten carbide (WCCR) provide exceptional mechanical strength and excellent sliding properties. This significantly reduces wear on the seal raceway surface. Additionally, it also reduces the risk of leaks and extends seal life.
Reliable installation at a low cost
To resist fatigue caused by strong fluctuations in forces inside the tank, Flygt low-speed mixers are mounted along stiffened guide rails at the appropriate depths to optimize mixing efficiency. Combined with lifting equipment, the guide rail system facilitates inspection and service.
A lifting crane is used to raise and lower the mixers, mounted with its lower end in a handle that allows it to be rotated. To reduce costs, one crane can be used to lift several mixers.
