Description

Where a deep tank is required for wastewater treatment or fermentation processes, Flygt vertical-shaft mixers provide efficient mixing of all types of liquids, including dense and viscous sludges. Flygt mixers with vertical shaft are most commonly used: in fermentation tanks, in denitrification chambers, in sludge storage tanks. With Flygt vertical mixers, you can effectively control anaerobic, hypoxic and fermentative processes, regardless of the depth, size, shape or volume of the tank. Every component in a Flygt vertical mixer is designed to operate continuously for tens of thousands of hours. The parallel arrangement of the motor shaft combined with the rigid drive shaft and specially designed impeller contribute to long, trouble-free operation. Regardless of the choice of the three-blade hydrophilic propeller or the typical non-blocking Banana impeller, we obtain high mixing efficiency with low energy consumption. The recognizable Banana mixers with characteristic yellow blades are designed to be self-cleaning during short-term reverse operation - this guarantees continuous operation even if the mixed medium contains fibrous materials. A wide range of Flygt vertical mixers are used depending on the process requirements – each time Flygt proposes a system that is right for the customer's needs, selecting the impeller type, number of blades, shaft length, power and installation method.
