- High performance system - Multi-stage purification - Closed-loop design The plant is composed of several sub-sections each one accomplishing a specific treatment stage. The scrubbing tower features a proprietory injection set design providing effective counterflow biogas washing which, together with the long contact time between the washing solution and biogas mixture, dramatically reduces the H2S content from the very beginning of the process. The scrubbing solution containing the sulphur is collected in the oxidation tank from where it is recirculated to the tower. Suspended solids to which sulphur has been transferred are collected in a clarifier where their settlement takes place before final disposal. At the plant outlet, inlet biogas H2S content is reduced by 99% and can be fed to the next energy recovery or biogas upgrading section.
