EDF is responsible for determining the hydraulic test bubbles used for ABP / ACO pipelines (secondary circuit) on nuclear sites. The preferred technique for achieving this, is the installation of high-pressure pneumatic stoppers.
It is for this reason that Pronal can propose inflatable plug for ACO pipe ABP58 and 59TY, ACO 1 and 2BA, and ABP heater pipes 108 to 113. They are produced in different dimensions: 325 mm and 380 mm. This stopper system is also perfectly capable of resisting test pressures of 24 bar. They can withstand up to 35 bar and even more.
These hydraulic tests serve to certify the strength and tightness of the ACO tank. This Pronal inflatable plug for ACO pipe reduces outage time by avoiding cutting/welding pipework that could also include the fitting of welded caps.
