HoseGuard® - Portection of personnel, machinery and equipment against hose whipping. The This protection unit is a cost effective way to ensure compliance with several guidelines for the effects of a broken hose. The HoseGuard® will instantly reduce the flow of the supply line when a burst of a hose occurs. The unit is triggered through the increased difference in flow caused by a broken hose. The HoseGuard® is equipped with a reset function that allows some minimal flow once the HoseGuard® has been activated, this assures an easy and automatic reset of the pneumatic operation. Should the air consumption exceed the set value, e.g. the air line is severed, then the internal piston instantly shuts off the main flow. An integral bleed hole allows some air to flow though. This enables the line pressure to automatically reset the HoseGuard once the main break is repaired.
