The SERCO TU 400 is perfectly suitable for machining operations that need to be done by a single operator in a confined space.
While maintaining its precision of 0.01 mm, the TU 400 is fitted with automatic or manual axial and radial feed movements.
This feature, enables it to work with a regular autonomous movement.
Different surfaces finish can be performed according to the application of the seal surface
Some examples :
• Stock Finish : generally required when the surface is in contact with a gasket, the seal surface comprises a continuous spiral groove
• Spiral Serrated : As for the stock finish the final result makes a spiral groove usually done by Facing tool bit 90°s. The “V” geometry has an angle of 45° (with radial feed manual).
• Cold water finish : Used for two flange surfaces directly in contact with each other’s without any joints.
• Concentric Serrated : concentric teeth, the grooves formed concentric grooves are placed at a constant distance
• Smooth Finish : smooth surface, mirror effect

In order to reach a maximum of surfaces to repair, the SERCO TU 400 unit can be held on an outside surface using the SERCO FC 745, a chain clamping system specially designed for this machine.
SERCO TU 400 unit can also be used with the RTJ system to perform conical machining functions.
