The machining Unit for machines TTS-ROD makes it possible to machine the welds of Socket Welding (SW) type pipe fittings as part of such maintenance or repair work. For machining operations, the TTS-ROD mobile machining units are equipped with Units: • - The Unit is composed of a carriage and a clutch finger. • - Two carriages are available depending on the type of application: • - A carriage equipped with an ovality tracking system of the tube and a carriage without tracking. • - An HSS or insert tool, if necessary with coating, allows machining to be carried out by moving axially along the tube. • - The axial travel of the carriage is 20 mm. • - Machining up to a thickness of 10 mm (weld bead thickness). • - Automatic disengagement system if the truck reaches the front stop. • - Machining only of the weld, integrity of the tube preserved. • - Portable, lightness of the mobile machining unit. • - Rigidity and tightening allowing direct contact with the piping. • - Reduction in intervention time and therefore reduction in the duration of exposure to ionizing radiation. • - Compact machine, suitable for work on site in areas that are very difficult to access. • - Quick and simple assembly. • - Motorizations adapted according to the desired machining configurations: in-line or with angle transmission, wired or wireless electric, pneumatic. • - Precise and qualitative machining (welding of the tube without additional preparation after machining). • - No heat affected zones during machining (absence of HAZ) • - No dust or splashing. • - Dry machining. • - The machine receiving the Unit keeps its basic functions (cutting and beveling).
