Standardized design used into console applications.
The nut has opposing flats which need to be oriented between two flats in the plastic console to resist torque out. The pilot of the nut has vanes which bite into the plastic for pull out resistance.
Advantages :
• Simple press-fit installation into thin plastic sections.
• The large bearing surface under the head provided very high pull-through and torque-through resistance.
• The opposing flats on the head provide high torque resistance and the vanes on the pilot provide push-out resistance.
• An excellent manually installed fastener for high load bearing applications such as Automotive Center Consoles.
