High Speed Servo Motor The PushCorp SM1503 High Speed Servo Spindle is an ideal solution for your fully automated workcell. The 15,000 rpm SM1503 has a powerful 3 horsepower (2.2 kW) Servo Motor and integral collet clamping to give you the muscle, speed control, and holding torque to perform sanding, grinding, drilling and routing operations with ease. The small size and light weight make this unit ideal for robotic applications. The SM1503 has been developed as a lower priced alternative to the STC1503. The SM1503 uses the same 15,000 rpm high speed motor from the STC1503, but without the automatic collet release. Instead, a manual "ER" Series collet is used to clamp the tool shaft. This means that operator intervention is required when the media needs to be replaced. For applications where the abrasive media or the tools have a long life the manual collet is the ideal solution.
