The SAM 1000 / 2000 series acoustic microscopes are used for high-end research and industrial applications. Systems are mounted to a vibration-free workbench. Combined scanning acoustic microscopy and light microscopy allow the user to alternate in situ between the two modes. The acoustic and light microscope images are aligned in x-y direction to an accuracy of 5 µm, allowing the operator to compare the same position on the specimen.
