The Rule of thumb for perforation of a sheet is that the hole diameter should not be less than the thickness of the material. If the hole-diameter to thickness exceeds the 1-to-1 ratio, additional costs will be charged.
For Stainless steel and special steel materials, it is preferable to specify atleast three thickness gauges thinner than hole diameter.
