Quin Logic Controller (QLC) provides PLC motion control functions that are distributed across SERVOnet drives. This Quin-developed library of motion control Function Blocks covers everything from registration and tension control to non-linear electronic gearing.
Distributed functions ensure fast response times, reduced network traffic and fast PLC logic scan times. Adding extra axes to the system has little effect on the PLC scan time and response time to events.
Standard Programming IEC 61131-3
QLC is implemented using IEC 61131-3 software in addition to Quin's interactive PTS language. This opens up the power of the Quin QDrive and QControl products to the engineer familiar with any of the five standard PLC/SPS languages.
Interactive support tools
A key feature of QLC is interactive programming. The QLC system includes a facility to execute motion control functions interactively, making motor tuning, fault finding, diagnostics and machine set-up much easier. Additional support tools such as the QDrive set-up and PTS Scope are available.
QDrive set-up provides simple configuration and diagnostics for QDrives across SERVOnet.
PTS Scope allows the engineer to view any aspect of motor, drive or control performance while running. This can be done locally or remotely via a modem.
Functions can also be invoked interactively for fast debugging.
