A filtered pipette tip is certified free of DNA, RNase, DNase, endotoxin, protein, protease, ATP and PCR inhibitors. Optimized filters made from sintered high-density polyethylene granules trap aerosols and protect pipettes from contamination. Filter pore size allows airflow, preventing backpressure and preserving pipetting accuracy. Filtered BioClean Ultra™ pipette tips from Rainin are available in both LTS and UNV (universal fit).
Advantages of Filtered Pipette Tips
• Certified Contamination-Free
The filters are machine-loaded to assure thattips remain completely untouched during manufacturing and packaging. They are certifiedfree of RNase, DNase, DNA, and pyrogen contamination. In addition, all fiter tips are sterilized after packaging as added protection for biological samples.
• "Torturous Path" Aerosol Barrier
Rainin aeroso-resistant tip filters are manufactured from sintered polyethylene, which produces a "torturous path" aerosol barrier with an average pore size of 40 microns. This pore size is considered "less restrictive" and doesn't detectably increase resistance or affect pipetting accuracy.
• Protect Against Cross-Contamination
Unlike other filter types that contain additives that can inhibit enzymatic reactions, Rainin filter tips are made from pure virgin sintered polyethylene. Hydrophobic polyethylene
particles prevent aerosols and liquids from being aspirated into the body of the pipette.
