The OWL SW1.7 is a camera integrated with InGaAs technology, allowing its use in near and short wave infrared imaging. The camera, created and produced by Raptor Photonics, makes use of an enhanced SWIR sensor technology. This technology provides day-night surveillance performance.
It features an optimum sensitivity InGaAs FPA sensor, built by Alcatel-Thales III-V lab. It has a sufficient sensitivity response range of 0.9 to 1.7µm, which allows exposure time from 500ns to 500ms, to produce good images.
