The ELETTROSPRAY Resistivometer is an instrument for the rapid and precise measurement of the electric resistivity of conventional painting for electrostatic application. The painting products suitable for the electrostatic application must have phisical characteristics to enhance good atomisation and high electrical charge absorbition. The resistivity is therefore one of the most important characteristics for a painting product suitable for electrostatic application. The Resistivometer is therefore an important instrument to be used both in paint laboratories in order to develop the products and in the painting workshop in order to check the purchased products as well as the products ready to be used. The new model is made of a plastic box with inclined control panel on which is installed an analogic instrument, the control pushbutton with check lamp and the connector for the resistivometric probe cable. The control panel screen is divided in sectors - green at the center and red at the edges - in order to improve the reading. The scale unit is Ohmx cm and therefore it gives directly the resistivity value instead of a general resistance value. The resistivometric probe, made of solvent resistant material and easy to clean, is connected to the instrument via a flexible cable and a special connector.
