Description

Battery charging and battery balancing units Solutions from several hundred watts up to 30kW Designed for Transportation, Industry, Automation, Railway or Defense applications Input: 3AC input with active PFC Alternative input range 200-1000VDC Variable DC output for 24VDC up to 110VDC (nominal), or other voltage levels available on request The battery charger group has been designed in various families for various types of mobile or stationary application. These solutions ensure top power density, reliability and extremely long life with an active PFC on AC power lines or overvoltage-protected DC inputs on DC power lines as well as the latest switching topologies and concepts with digital control. The output voltage characteristic can be adjusted to battery properties such as time, temperature and current; an internal lossless output O-ring diode decouples the battery from the DC supply preventing reverse current. Battery balancers have additional features beyond those of straight battery chargers; they not only charge batteries or balance out the charge on several batteries in series or groups of batteries in parallel arranged in series, but also come into use in testing batteries. This means that devices are suitable for discharge scenarios as well as battery arrangements to a predefined capacity. The following designs are intentionally developed as platform solutions, which enable RECOM to modify fast, easily and cost efficient these solutions to different customer needs. Unidirectional or bidirectional designs Excellent efficiency and compact size Cascadable power and n+1 redundancy Automatic load sharing Programmable, temperature monitored output voltage
