HEAVY AMERICAN SERIES (ANSI H SERIES)
HEAVY E AMERICAN SERIES (ANSI HE SERIES)
The increased thickness of the plates (equal to the thickness of
the plates of the next higher pitch standard ANSI chain) makes
these chains particularly suitable in applications where shock
loading is frequent. In fact their thicker plates increase their
fatigue resistance (and the allowable loading) by as much
as 40% compared to the standard ANSI series.
For extremely high shock resistance the best choice are the
ANSI HE series, which compared to the H series have through hardened pins (instead of case hardened). This augments fatigue resistance and breaking loads. Their wear resistance is lower than Standard ANSI or ANSI H series given the lower surface hardness of the pins.
The design of the ANSI H series allows for an increase of the working
surface between pin and bushings, which improves wear resistance.
The ANSI H and HE series are not included in the ISO Standard.
Available in single and multiple strands of rollers.
