The further development of our special flanges is concentrated in the VP flange, which is fitted with a backing flange made of corrosion-free, fibre-reinforced plastic and drilled according to DIN EN 1092 PN 10. Long holes in the stub enable easier installation and alignment of the flange connection. The spring effect of the flange is integrated into the design and ensures sustained bolt preload, which is a special highlight. Due to its low weight in particular, it is easier to install and project costs are reduced.
The fittings to be offered must be delivered as a set consisting of a welding stub and a backing flange adapted to the dimension. The welding stubs must be manufactured from material in compliance with the PE100+ Association and according to DIN EN 12201 and DIN EN 1555 with respect to dimensions, tolerances and quality requirements. The backing flanges must be manufactured from corrosion-free, fibre-reinforced plastic. Proof must be provided that they were manufactured on the basis of a quality assurance system in accordance with DIN EN ISO 9001. For all fittings a certificate in accordance with DIN EN 10204 must be submitted by the manufacturer.
The body of the PE fitting must be manufactured in the injection moulding process or alternatively from a piece of homogeneous semi-finished material. Semi-finished materials manufactured from wound rods or the subsequent application of other forms of reinforcing are not permitted.
The stub must be drilled following the hole pattern stipulated by DIN EN 1092-1 PN 10 or PN 16. This way the bolt holes are closer to the outer pipe diameter.
